Original Watercolor by Clare L Jones
A brilliant red cardinal rests among snow-covered branches as delicate snowflakes drift through a peaceful winter landscape. Cardinal in Falling Snow captures a quiet moment in nature, where the vivid crimson of the bird contrasts beautifully with the soft blue-grey tones of a snowy winter's day.
Loose watercolor washes create a gentle, atmospheric background, while carefully painted feathers, delicate branches and clusters of bright red winter berries bring warmth and detail to the composition.
Rich reds, cool winter blues and areas of untouched white paper create a striking yet tranquil painting, with the cardinal providing a wonderful focal point against the softness of the falling snow.
Presented in a classic black mat that frames the winter scene beautifully, Cardinal in Falling Snow is a one-of-a-kind original celebrating the quiet beauty of nature in winter.
