Original Watercolor by Clare L Jones
A jewel-toned hummingbird pauses among delicate peach blossoms in Garden Visitor, an original watercolor celebrating one of nature's fleeting encounters.
Rich greens, turquoise and deep violet bring detail and character to the hummingbird, while softly painted blossoms and loose washes of muted green, lavender and blue create an airy, tranquil background.
I wanted this painting to capture one of those brief moments when a hummingbird pauses just long enough for you to really appreciate its remarkable colors and delicate beauty before it's gone again.
Presented in a soft peach mat that echoes the warmth of the blossoms and complements the gentle palette of the painting, Garden Visitor is a peaceful, one-of-a-kind celebration of a very special little visitor.
