Original Watercolor by Clare L Jones
Nestled beneath towering evergreens and surrounded by the warm colors of autumn, a tiny cabin sits peacefully between distant mountains in Mountain Retreat.
Soft blue-grey mountain washes create a sense of distance and atmosphere, while rich greens, ochres, russets and reds bring warmth to the landscape below. A winding path leads toward the cabin and its striking blue door, inviting the viewer into this quiet, secluded scene.
The contrast between the cool, misty mountains and rich autumn foliage gives the painting a wonderful sense of depth, while the little cabin provides a peaceful focal point tucked away within the landscape.
Presented in a deep green mat that complements the evergreens and autumn colors, Mountain Retreat is a one-of-a-kind original inspired by the beauty and tranquility of escaping into nature.
