A little face full of personality.

Meet Tinker, an adorable little dog whose expressive eyes, tousled fur and gentle expression have been lovingly captured in this original watercolor portrait by Clare L Jones.

Using soft washes of watercolor alongside delicate brushwork and layered detail to bring out the wonderful textures of Tinker's coat, from the wispy hair around the face to those beautiful, floppy ears.

The warm browns, soft creams and subtle blue-grey tones give the portrait depth and character, while keeping Tinker's sweet expression at the heart of the painting.

Beautifully presented with a deep navy mat and classic frame, this portrait celebrates the special bond between people and their beloved pets.

SOLD – This original watercolor portrait was created for its owner and is not available for purchase.

There are some gifts that simply cannot be measured, and the beautiful portrait of our beloved Tinker is one of them.

We lost Tinker after 13½ wonderful years of loving her as so much more than a pet—she was our baby, our constant companion, and truly a member of our family. Losing her left an emptiness in our home and in our hearts that is difficult to put into words.

When my dear friend Clare painted Tinker for us, she gave us something incredibly special. She didn’t simply paint a beautiful likeness of her—she somehow captured Tinker.

I have always known what a wonderfully talented and versatile artist my friend is, but seeing someone you love so deeply captured through her eyes and her hands gave me an entirely new appreciation for her gift. There is such tenderness and feeling in her work. She paints more than what she sees—she captures something of the heart and spirit of her subject.

This portrait will always have a special place in our home. More importantly, it will always have a special place in our hearts. Tinker may no longer be here for us to hold, but through this beautiful painting, we can still look into that precious little face we loved for so many years.

What an extraordinary gift—to take a cherished memory and turn it into something that can be held onto forever. We will treasure it always.
